IT Support Technician
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are currently seeking an IT Support Technician with strengths in technical analysis and problem solving skills to assist our team. Your main responsibility will be to provide support for our clients using your thorough hands-on and in-depth understanding of our products, configurations, and best practices. You will also be responsible for the repair, maintenance, upgrade, deployment and installation of computer desktops, printers, peripherals as well as associated operating systems and application software at the desktop level. A core component of this position is the trouble shooting and repair of hardware and software failures.
Good analytical and troubleshooting skills will allow you to identify and correct complex IT issues and develop technical procedures and documentation. You will analyze and resolve technical problems via telephone, e-mail, online and through independent testing and analysis. You will also ensure that support tickets are kept up-to-date and that ticket status are communicated effectively to the team and receive proper attention.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The IT Support Technician is responsible for performing the following duties:
• Provide on-site technical services to customers
• Respond to escalation requests from our Office Coordinator
• Respond to emergency requirements in a timely and efficient manner
• Provide issue resolution documentation to clients who opened the support ticket
• Interface with team members as it pertains to the deployment strategy
• Manage the work of the 3rd partys assigned to the deployment
• Perform troubleshooting to determine and resolve the root cause of many hardware or software malfunctions at the desktop level.
• Up-hold Servicad’s Solution’s high standards when performing upgrades to a computer,by ensuring that upgrades/installations are 100% correct and tested.
• Ensure the highest level of confidentiality while working with client data and software files.
• Perform hardware and/or software upgrades to existing equipment.
• Perform basic network connections for desktops and printers.
• Perform moves, adds, changes of computer equipment, all work performed should be detailed and documented.
• Ensure that all contract commitments are met on a timely basis.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
The IT Support Technicianmust have a good working knowledge of Windows Professional and Servers.
• College or University education in a related field.
• Experience with the Windows desktop and server operating systems.
• Familiarity with network protocols and network troubleshooting, NTFS permissions, etc.
PERSONAL SKILLS
The IT Support Technicianmust present a professional appearance and demeanor, possess strong interpersonal skills, strong telephone skills and etiquette and be able to relate to a small team of technical staff and managers. Engineers need strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively participate in the sales cycle and to prepare deliverables.

• A high level of integrity and honesty.
• Ability to take direction and follow practices and procedures consistently and accurately.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Candidates *must* have their own reliable transportation both to and from work as well as to and from the individual client locations.
Candidates *must* be able to read and write legibly in English. Candidates must also be 100%fluent in spoken English language.
